Mission Briefing


A Bridge Too Far AKA The battle for Arnhem

It's late 1944, and the Allied armies are confident they'll win World War II and be home in time for Christmas.

What's needed, says British general Bernard Law Montgomery, is a knockout punch, a bold strike through Holland, where German troops are spread thin. This will put the Allies over the rhine and into Germany. Paratroops led by British Major General Robert Urquhart, will attempt to seize the city of arnhem and three bridges, then through to Nijmegen into the Axis artillery batteries firing on American paratroopers. Axis forces led by Feldmarschall Walter Model must defend and repel against the Allied para drop, ultimately driving them to defeat.

Owen Bozman of Sniperz Paintball will lead the Axis Forces, while Kyle "k2" thorpe of Panther Paintball will lead the Allied forces! Choose your side and fight for supremacy on the ambush fields!

Game Layout



Allies must secure flag stations and objectives progressively as they advance up the field in morning phase. Axis will defend flags and Objectives. Afternoon game axis attempt to push allies back and destroy Allied OBJ.

Bridges run over the "rhine river" [between overrun and forest]

DROPZONE AKA CITY = Wolfheze [Allied HQ]

MOUNDS = Oosterbeek

OVERRUN = ARNHEM

FOREST = NIJMEGEN/Germany [Axis HQ]

Yes this means we are using our woodsball fields as one giant field for the scenario. A first for Ambush that promises to be epic. Dont miss out!





Side Objectives and Scoring

Destroy Axis 88mm Artillery Guns - - 500 points

AXIS:
Destroy The Allied Command Post (MCP)

Flag Stations:
Flags are worth 100 points counted every 20 minutes (3 times an hour) for example 10:20,10:40,11:00 etc etc.
10:20, 10:40, 11:00, 11:20, 11:40, 12:00, 12:20, 12:40,1:00 --- 2:20, 2:40, 3:00, 3:20, 3:40, 4:00, 4:20, 4:40, 5:00

Flags in Arnhem, Oosterbeek, Wolfheze, Nijmegen.

9:50 Am Player Briefing

GAME 1 : Morning stage 10 AM - 1 PM - Allies must attack towards axis to capture the bridges and push into holland

LUNCH BREAK 1pm-2pm

GAME 2 : Afternoon stage 2pm-5pm - Axis must push back the allied invaders and ultimately out of holland, dashing any hopes of a quick and easy victory over the Axis forces.
